My house is over 170 years old and my biggest fear about installing central air conditioning was ruining the integrity of my lovely old home. Since my walls are horse hair and plaster, installing ductwork was out of the question. The Fujitsu wall units were installed in each location in a way that did not detract from the beauty of the room. The downspouts and units on the outside were installed with the same thing in mind. Keeping the exterior of the house looking like it always had and hiding the units and the downspouts were important to me. This was accomplished by Dutch Heating’s skilled craftsmen.
So now that we had it all looking good, how did they work? Dutch Heating completed the job on July 1st and suddenly, we were in a heat wave. The units were used (eight of them) for thirty days straight and my first electric bill showed an additional $75.00. Wow.
We had one or two little bugs in the system and Sandy had her man out here pronto. The service was really good.

Our relationship with Dutch Heating started almost 5 years ago during a remodel of an apartment complex where I had them take over for another contractor who had abandoned the project. It could have been a costly endeavor as much of the work was incomplete. Instead of trying to capitalize on my situation, Matt came over, made an assessment of what we had, and described the philosophy of Dutch Heating and the long term relationships they have with developed over the years. They were more than fair and since that time we have developed a long and solid relationship. They are skilled at what they do, super responsive in emergency type situations. Our original gas furnace went out in November, 2014 just as a sudden cold spell was about to hit. I had to act fast. I did some internet research and obtained four proposals to replace our furnace and air conditioning unit. My wife and I chose Dutch Heating Inc. for several reasons. Dutch's sales person, Matt Miller, was prompt, professional, and knowledgeable. He didn't try to oversell us. He was patient and answered all of our questions. We chose the Maytag gas furnace and air conditioning unit with a Honeywell programmable thermostat. We also upgraded to a Skuttle media filter and whole house self-draining humidifier. The proposal was reasonably priced. Dutch's expert team of installers we're prompt and did a top-notch job quickly installing the new system. Matt returned to check on the install job and went over the thermostat and system settings. We also received a one year service contract with our purchase. I believe in supporting local business and with over 50 years behind their name, Dutch Heating Inc. of York turned out to be a wise and economical choice for us. It's been over a year and we are extremely pleased with the air quality and comfort in our home!

My husband and I can't say enough GOOD things about Dutch Heating and the folks that work there. It was difficult to find competent people when we initially moved to southern PA some years ago..., so when we landed on this company and our results not only met our expectations but exceeded them as well, our search was over. Great customer service, immediate callback response time, and quality workmanship are just a few of the reasons we stay with them. We are very pleased with our relationship with Dutch Heating. On a cold December morning when we awoke to a house with no heat, we called the plumber we’d been using for over 20 years. They would not fit us into their schedule. We called Dutch Heating and by the end of that day--a Friday—they had checked out the furnace, given us an estimate on a new furnace and put us in their work schedule for the following Monday. It was a complex installation that required understanding an 80-year-old heating system. We couldn’t be happier with the results and with their service.

I have been using Matt and the other employees of Dutch Heating for a number of years. I have always found that they are a company that can be trusted to get the work done right the first time. I can't begin to describe my frustration with other companies who don't show when they said that they would, don't do the work properly the first time or don't have people to speak with after hours. With Dutch Heating, plumbing is an issue that I no long need to worry about.

A stroke of good fortune at the local plumbing supply store led me to DUTCH HEATING, INC. last summer. Sales manager Matthew Miller promptly responded to my call, and arrived at my home to assess the need for efficient window A/C units. His competent employees expertly installed 2 units within days.
I then asked Matt to install a new boiler in my basement, replacing an old, inefficient one....Done!
I wanted a discharge line from my sump pump to be buried...Done!
These fellows are thorough, reasonably priced, and so dependable. They are #1 in my book when it comes to HVAC services.

We are writing this letter in reference to our relationship and experiences with Matt Miller and his team at Dutch Heating Incorporated. David Rinker and myself, Thomas Dohler began a business relationship in November of 2004. We had an entire HVAC system installed by Dutch Heating, Inc. at that time. We were extremely satisfied with the results.
Since November 2004, we have had three complete HVAC systems installed by Dutch Heating, Inc., at three different homes, the latest being November 2015. In addition to the work we had completed, Matt Miller and his crew installed a complete HVAC system at my mother's home. My father passed away last year, suddenly. My mother lives alone in my parents' home. The original furnace was an oil burning type. My mother was always uncomfortable with a fossil fuel burning system. I approached Matt Miller in hopes of finding an alternative source of heating. Matt was very understanding of my mother's concerns and was able to come up with an electric heat pump. Naturally this was an attractive solution to her concerns.
I am focusing on my mother's situation because we were all very impressed with the manner in which Matt explained the advantages of using the modern day heat pump. Matt presented my mother with facts comparing the operating costs in comparison to the operating costs with another oil furnace. Matt and his crew were able to make the transition very smooth and for that we are all very grateful for them putting my mother at ease. Thank you Matt and the entire Dutch Heating Staff.
